Boarding
At Cyde's Animal Clinic, we know your dogs and cats are part of your family and we want you to know that they part of ours, too. Our new facility has complete indoor and outdoor facilities available for dogs, and complete indoor facilities and an indoor climbing tree for cats. Being veterinarian owned and operated means your pet gets the very best care while you are away. Our staff spends time with your pet throughout the day by going on walks, playing with everyone in play care, or just taking the time to stop and give a good old fashioned belly rub. This is how we treat our own dogs and cats and how we will treat your pet, while they are here in our care.
Our boarding facility drop off/pick-up hours are the same as our regular hospital hours: Mon-Fri 7:30a.m. – 6:00 p.m. / Saturday 8:00a.m. - 12:00p.m. For your convenience, we have additional drop off/pickup outside normal hours: Saturday 5:00p.m.-5:30 p.m. Sunday 8:00a.m.-8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
For boarding over long weekends and holidays, please make your reservations as early as possible, as our space fills up quickly.
Cat boarding: Our kitty condos have multiple levels (2 or 4 story), and contain a bathroom, bedroom, breakfast room and loft. All cats and kittens must be current on their bordatella, rabies and distemper vaccines. If your cat has special medical needs or conditions that require vaccinations, we would look at your cat on a individual basis. Kitty boarding guests get to stretch their legs, as they spend extra time during daily climbing and jumping on the climbing tree. However, if we do not know your cat’s vaccination status for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, then they cannot go out on the climbing tree. You may drop off and pick up your cat during normal business hours.
Dog boarding: Our doggy boarding facilities have indoor/outdoor runs that open into a large fenced in grassy play area. All dogs and puppies must be current on their bordatella, rabies, distemper, corona, leptospirosis and parvo vaccinations. We also have one supersized run where multiple pets can stay together and it is perfect for our Great Dane or Mastiff guests. We also have indoor runs and kennels. All dogs are hand walked a minimum of twice a day, and all doggie boarding guests are given outdoor play time in our large, grassy play area. Dog families or friends can play together, but we don’t mix play time with other doggie guests.
Your Pet's 2012 Resolution:
Help them get Healthy!
As the New Year begins and we make our new year's resolution to lose weight, let's not forget to add our overweight pets into the plan. As reward-based training becomes more popular, so does pet obesity. This is a serious issue and obesity is a leading contributor to diabetes in pets. Overeating, a predisposition for obesity, lack of exercise and eating the wrong types of food are the most likely causes of your pet's weight gain. Overweight pets may be suffering physically as a result of carrying the extra weight, and obese pets, like obese humans, do not live as long as their more active and weight appropriate counterparts. Obesity in pets is a condition over which the owner has significant control.
